Today is my Friday!
I decided I would go to Ok City for Easter. It's also John's birthday on Saturday! So to give me an extra day (because I'm driving) I decided to take off Thursday. After work I'm going to drive up to Memphis and stay with Can and Lou, to help break up the trip a little! I'm so excited about spending some time with my friend!

The Works and Company!
So I got early this morning so I could go to a 2 hour class at the Y. It started and 9:00 a.m. I would have much rather to sleep in, but talked myself into going. That and John call me to make sure I was up! :)
It was really good and I was glad I got up for it. The class included spinning, step, weights, abs, and a stretch to finish it off! I won't be able to go next weekend, but this is defiantly a class I will go to every week!
Later this afternoon my Aunt Mary Ellen (my mom's sister) came into town. It was fun to get to spent time with her. She is staying with me and will be on town until Tuesday!

T.G.I.F.!!!
Thank goodness it's Friday! It's been a long week and I'm glad it's finally over!
This morning I got up and took the reformer pilates class at the Y! It's going to be a great class, once I figure out the moves and what exactly is going on...
Work went pretty good! I got to leave at 12:30 p.m.!!! I had to go to the grocery store, then I meet a friend from work and a friend of hers and we went to Que Sera for happy hour! It was lots of fun and a great stress reliever from the week!
For dinner, Teresa and I went to Mugshots! Because she gave blood and I tried to give blood, we had coupons to get 2 free drinks so we went there! I wasn't that hungry from having Que Sera, but I got an appetizer and Teresa got a hamburger. It was a fun evening with my little sis!

2 classes at the Y!
I took two classes today! I took a sculpting and toning class at 5:30 a.m. and took Y-cycle class at 5:30 p.m.(it’s the YMCA’s version of spin class)!! Kind of crazy that I took two in one day but there are tons of class I want to try, so I decided I would try two today. I probably won't be able to do this everyday. But my goal is to try and do something in the morning and something in the evening. Some morning I will get my running in and other mornings I will take a class. And I'm going to try and end every day with a class. I think it will be a nice release after work! We'll see how it goes...

YMCA!
In an effort to get people at work healthier, they have cut a deal with the YMCA to get a corporate rate on the monthly fees, in addition work is going to pay for most of it. It's only going to cost me about $20 per month! So, I decided I would join. We were given a guest pass to try it for a week, a meant to go on Monday, but got busy and lazy, so I went today to check things out. I haven't been a member of a gym since I was at State, going to the Sanderson!
I decided I would start trying out the classes’ tomorrow morning, a sculpting at 5:30 a.m.! We'll see how it goes!

Spring Cleaning?
My Aunt Mary Ellen, my mom's sister, is coming to town this weekend and asked if she could stay with me. So this has caused me to do some spring cleaning. Things are pretty clean for me, but once you know someone is coming, you start to notice.. things aren't as clean as you thought.
I got most of it done. All I pretty much have left to do is vacuum and clean the bathroom. Yay!

Lazy Sunday!
Today was so nice! I didn't do much of anything but sit around in my pajamas all day and read a book.
I read this entire book in one day, it was a very easy read! Chelsea Handler, host of Chelsea Lately on E!, is also an author. She now has three books out, but this was her first. This book is a collection of short stories about the one-night-stands she has had. It was pretty entertaining. Some of the stories were pretty hilarious and other I couldn't believe she admitted to! She is a great storyteller and I can't wait to get her other books!

2010 Mal's St. Paddy's Parade!!!
The parade was lots of fun! Minus the rednecks that were standing behind us (They poured a beer down my friends back because she wouldn't let kids stand in front of her!!!!) I got to the parade at about 9:30 a.m. to secure us a spot right in front by a barricade. Other people in my group started showing up around 10:30 a.m. We had quite the spread, everyone brought a small dish and I was also introduced to a new drink, the Irish Car Bomb. It was delicious. Here are the few pictures I got from the parade.
Start of the parade!
Poor Kermit! They couldn't inflate him all the way because of the power lines.
This guy was interesting. He looked like he belonged in a Lady Gaga video.
Old School bus.
This was done in wine corks!
I've been to Leland!
Bag ladies!
The Sweet Potato Queens!
After the parade I headed to Terry's house for corned beef and cabbage! I had never had either and it was very good. I left there around 6:00 p.m. and headed home.
I did make a quick stop at Target to get my copy of New Moon!! Yay!! (I know... I'm obsessed).
Once I got home, I was pretty worthless and headed to bed early.

Netflix Night!
I had to go to the doctor this afternoon and went home after it was over because the doctor took as long. Somehow, I managed to get two movies in the mail. (I had been trying to stagger them, but it didn't work out this time). So, what movies did I get? Alice (a twisted modern day version of Alice in Wonderland), this was a miniseries put out by SyFy (and also the creators of Tin Man, which I haven't seen, but I heard was really good). I had heard it was good and decided to give it a try.
I thought it was very good, for a made of t.v. movie. I don't really watch much on the SyFy channel and added it to my list before the latest Tim Burton of Alice in Wonderland came out. It had Tim Curry and Kathy Bates in it, which made it entertaining. The girl who played Alice (Caterina Scorsone) did a great job too. It had a really cute ending too!
The second movie I got was The White Stripes: Under Great White Northern Lights. This was a documentary about The White Stripes tour of Canada in 2007.
I thought this was a great documentary! I love The White Stripes and thought it was so neat how they did their tour of Canada. They wanted to visit every territory in Canada, sometimes they would perfrom in large venues and sometimes it was be somewhere simple like a bowling ally. They didn't post where they would be playing sometimes, it would be word of mouth and they would play for whoever showed up. It was also neat to see the goings on it the daily lives of Jack White and his sister Meg White. I would defiantly recommend this documentary, even if you slightly likes The White Stripes.

Karen and Collin's Wedding!!
I can't believe it's finally here! After all Karen's planning, the showers and the dress fiasco it's finally here!
We got to the church around 10:30 a.m. to start getting ready to take pictures! I was so excited about finally getting to see Karen's dress! Her mom made the dress and Karen had kept it a secret of how it looked. It was so beautiful!! And totally worth the wait. She looked so gorgeous!
Before I knew it, it was time for Karen and Collin to leave. I think everyone did a pretty good job of decorating Collin's very clean car. We threw dried rose petals the the happy couple when they left!

Karen and her dress!
My hair didn't do quite what I wanted it to do, but with help of Jamie, Andrea, and Candice it turned out great!
The daisies look so great in our hair!
By the time us girls got gone getting ready it was time for our pictures! I can't wait to see them. All the bridesmaids looked so good. Karen did a great job of picking out our dresses, they looked flattering on all of us! Somehow, with all the running around, I managed not to get any pictures. I borrowed these pictures from Candice. Thanks Can!
The girls!
Before we knew it, it was time to line up to go into the church. I was so thankful that, instead of Chris (the best man) walking in with Collin, they let him walk in with me. I was a little bit nervous about walking in by myself.
The music was so pretty, I loved the organ, and the flowers in the church were gorgeous! The ceremony was so sweet, I loved the vows Karen and Collin chose and neither of them got tongue tied! :) And I managed to remember to keep Karen’s dress turned correctly! (I was so afraid I was going to forget!)
The reception was so pretty too! Once the caterers had set all their things up, it looked like a completely different room! And Jessica did such a great job with the cakes!
Collin's cake!
Karen's cake! (so pretty!!!)
I was doing so much running around and being stopped by people, I almost didn't get to eat. But I did finally manage to get a little food and get a piece of Collins cake, with was delicious!
Before I knew it, it was time for Karen and Collin to leave. I think everyone did a pretty good job of decorating Collin's very clean car. We threw dried rose petals the the happy couple when they left!
Mr. and Mrs. Berger!
(A special thanks to Can for posting the picutes on Facebook!!!)

Rehearsal and Rehearsal Dinner!!!
Today I only went to work for a half day so I could pick up John for the airport and get ready for the Wedding festivities to start!
We all met at the church around 5:00 p.m. to run through the wedding! I couldn't believe the wedding was almost here and running through the rehearsal made it seen that much closer. Karen was so organized, it didn't take us long to run through things!!
Then we headed to Vicksburg to Anchuca for the rehearsal dinner. It was lots of fun and such a pretty place!! Getting to spend time with friends I hadn't seen in a long time. The food was very good too. There was a choice between pork tenderloin, salmon and shrimp, and a vegan dish. I got the salmon, which was very good, and had a great sauce on top! I think my favorite part of the meal was the salad.
I would also like to say a special thanks to Candice for giving our speech!! Thanks Can! :)
After the dinner, we went back to my apartment where, Can and I worked on how we were going to do our hair! After putting my hair up about a half dozen times, I decided on simply putting it up by twisting my hair and clipping it. I was thinking the clippie could be covered up with the flowers that were going in my hair. Can decide on putting it half way up and doing a topsy turvy!! I was really excited about having that taken care of!

Random Thoughts of the Day!
So I don't often e-mail forwards, but I've had a kind of crazy day and this made me laugh when I got it today, so I thought it might make you laugh too...
o I wish Google Maps had an "Avoid Ghetto" routing option.
o More often than not, when someone is telling me a story all I can think about is that I can’t wait for them to finish so that I can tell my own story that’s not only better, but also more directly involves me.
o Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.
o I don't understand the purpose of the line, "I don't need to drink to have fun." Great, no one does. But why start a fire with flint and sticks when they've invented the lighter?
o Have you ever been walking down the street and realized that you're going in the complete opposite direction of where you are supposed to be going? But instead of just turning a 180 and walking back in the direction from which you came, you have to first do something like check your watch or phone or make a grand arm gesture and mutter to yourself to ensure that no one in the surrounding area thinks you're crazy by randomly switching directions on the sidewalk.
o I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger.
o The letters T and G are very close to each other on a keyboard. This recently became all too apparent to me and consequently I will never be ending a work email with the phrase "Regards" again.
o Do you remember when you were a kid, playing Nintendo and it wouldn't work? You take the cartridge out, blow in it and that would magically fix the problem. Every kid in America did that, but how did we all know how to fix the problem? There was no internet or message boards or FAQ's. We just figured it out. Today's kids are soft.
o There is a great need for sarcasm font.
o I think everyone has a movie that they love so much; it actually becomes stressful to watch it with other people. I'll end up wasting 90 minutes shiftily glancing around to confirm that everyone's laughing at the right parts, then making sure I laugh just a little bit harder (and a millisecond earlier) to prove that I'm still the only one who really, really gets it.
o How the hell are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?
o I would rather try to carry 10 plastic grocery bags in each hand than take 2 trips to bring my groceries in.
o I think part of a best friend's job should be to immediately clear your computer history if you die.
o The only time I look forward to a red light is when I’m trying to finish a text.
o A recent study has shown that playing beer pong contributes to the spread of mono and the flu. Yeah, if you suck at it.
o Was learning cursive really necessary?
o Lol has gone from meaning, "laugh out loud" to "I have nothing else to say".
o I have a hard time deciphering the fine line between boredom and hunger.
o Answering the same letter three times or more in a row on a Scantron test is absolutely petrifying.
o My brother's Municipal League baseball team is named the Stepdads. Seeing as none of the guys on the team are actual stepdads, I inquired about the name. He explained, "Cuz we beat you, and you hate us." Classy, bro.
o Whenever someone says "I'm not book smart, but I'm street smart", all I hear is "I'm not real smart, but I'm imaginary smart".
o How many times is it appropriate to say "What?" before you just nod and smile because you still didn't hear what they said?
o I love the sense of camaraderie when an entire line of cars teams up to prevent a dick from cutting in at the front. Stay strong, brothers!
o While driving yesterday I saw a banana peel in the road and instinctively swerved to avoid it...thanks Mario Kart.
o MapQuest really needs to start their directions on #5. Pretty sure I know how to get out of my neighborhood.
o Obituaries would be a lot more interesting if they told you how the person died.
o I find it hard to believe there are actually people who get in the shower first and THEN turn on the water.
o Shirts get dirty. Underwear gets dirty. Pants? Pants never get dirty, and you can wear them forever.
o I can't remember the last time I wasn't at least kind of tired.
o Bad decisions make good stories
o Whenever I'm Facebook stalking someone and I find out that their profile is public I feel like a kid on Christmas morning who just got the Red Ryder BB gun that I always wanted. 546 pictures? Don't mind if I do!
o Is it just me or do high school girls get sluttier & sluttier every year?
o If Carmen San Diego and Waldo ever got together, their offspring would probably just be completely invisible.
o Why is it that during an ice-breaker, when the whole room has to go around and say their name and where they are from, I get so incredibly nervous? Like I know my name, I know where I'm from; this shouldn't be a problem....
o You never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment at work when you've made up your mind that you just aren’t doing anything productive for the rest of the day.
o Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after DVDs? I don't want to have to restart my collection.
o There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far.
o I'm always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word and it asks me if I want to save any changes to my ten page research paper that I swear I did not make any changes to.
o "Do not machine wash or tumble dry" means I will never wash this ever.
o I hate being the one with the remote in a room full of people watching TV. There's so much pressure. 'I love this show, but will they judge me if I keep it on? I bet everyone is wishing we weren’t watching this. It's only a matter of time before they all get up and leave the room. Will we still be friends after this?'
o While watching the Olympics, I find myself cheering equally for China and USA. No, I am not of Chinese descent, but I am fairly certain that when Chinese athletes don’t win, they are executed.
o I hate when I just miss a call by the last ring (Hello? Hello? Darnit!), but when I immediately call back, it rings nine times and goes to voicemail. What'd you do after I didn't answer? Drop the phone and run away?
o I hate leaving my house confident and looking good and then not seeing anyone of importance the entire day. What a waste.
o When I meet a new girl, I'm terrified of mentioning something she hasn't already told me but that I have learned from some light internet stalking.
o I like all of the music in my iTunes, except when it's on shuffle, then I like about one in every fifteen songs in my iTunes.

o I think that if, years down the road when I’m trying to have a kid, I find out that I’m sterile, most of my disappointment will stem from the fact that I was not aware of my condition in college.
o Even if I knew your social security number, I wouldn't know what do to with it.
o Even under ideal conditions people have trouble locating their car keys in a pocket, finding their cell phone, and Pinning the Tail on the Donkey - but I’d bet my a$$ everyone can find and push the Snooze button from 3 feet away, in about 1.7 seconds, eyes closed, first time every time...
o My 4-year old son asked me in the car the other day "Dad what would happen if you ran over a ninja?" How the hell do I respond to that?
o It really pisses me off when I want to read a story on CNN.com and the link takes me to a video instead of text.
o I wonder if cops ever get pissed off at the fact that everyone they drive behind obeys the speed limit.

Happy Birthday to me again!
Because my Gramma didn't go out with me, my mom, and sister on my birthday, she wanted to take me out to lunch. So I decided on Logan's. I hadn't had a steak in a while, and thought that would be a good place to go (and it's close to my Gramma's house). It was really good and I was happy about spending time with my Gramma.
Later, Teresa took me to see Alice in Wonderland in 3D and out to eat at Sweet Pepper's!

I thought this movie was so good! Even though this was a much older Alice (19 yrs old), they included all the important characters from the book. My plan was to re-read the book before I saw the movie, but ran out of time. But from what I remember, I thought Tim Burton did a great job with this movie. I was so glad Teresa took me to see it!

2 Showers!
Today I went to two showers for Karen. The first one was at her church at 11:00 a.m. and the second was at 6:00 p.m. for Collin! They were both lots of fun. I expecially enjoyed Collins shower because I got to see several friends that I hadn't seen in a while. I was so tired when I got home, it was a very eventful day!!

Sunday! Race Day!
The race started at 7:00 a.m. so we had to get up pretty early to walk the 2 miles to the start line. We got there in plenty of time and tried to stay in the sunlight because it was a tad bit chilly at the start.

Cowboy Mouth!
Tried to take out picture with Cowboy Mouth! :)
The concert after the race was lots of fun! I had never stayed for the after party festivities but it was lots of fun and I'm glad we stayed. We did leave before Cowboy Mouth was finish, we were all tired and hot and ready for showers...
I also didn't realize how burnt I got until we got back to the hotel room...
My hands and face got burnt!!!
After we were showered and were able to rest a little, we went meet up with all our friends that were there and went out to eat. We went to Landry's which was a little pricy but was very good. Then we headed to Bourbon Street for a drink and once of our friends birthdays! Karen, Collin, and I didn't last very long, we were so tired and ended up heading back to the hotel around 9:00 p.m. The rest of our group only lasted until about 10:30 p.m. I slept so good this night!
Sunday:
We were able to sleep in a little bit and then we went to Cafe du Monde to get beignets and cafe au lait! This was the best way to end our great weekend!
