Fruita, Colorado and Colorado National Monument

We made it to Moose and Ashley's last night. We went to a local brewery in downtown Fruita, Colorado. Since the brewery didn't serve food, we ordered a pizza and took it with us. It was a great time visiting with great friends. We were having such a good time, John and I decided to stay an extra night. Ashley had a half day at work, so John and I drove to Colorado National Monument. It was actually less then a 10 minute drive from Moose and Ashley's house!

Colorado National Monument. Moose lent us his hiking book for the park. Ashley and him had marked the hikes they had done and the rating they had given the hike. John and I decided on one of the shorter ones they had enjoyed. It was close to the exit on the other side of the park, so we just enjoyed the views on the way there.

We decided on the Devil's Kitchen Trail. It would be a little less than 2 miles round trip.

Made it to the top of Devil's Kitchen.

Fun colorful lizard we saw at the end of our hike. It's called a Western Collard Lizard.
