Rocksprings, Wyoming to Dinosaur National Monument to Fruita, Colorado

Today we left Rocksprings, Wyoming on our to Fruita, Colorado to visit Moose and Ashley. Along the way we stopped at the Flaming Gorge National Recreational Area and Dinosaur National Monument.

Leaving Wyoming.

Utah welcome sign. And this began all the dinosaurs.

Beautiful views everywhere.

Such a long way down!

Desert Big Horn Sheep.

Another Dinosaur, and some beautiful flowers. These flowers were all over the town.

Made it to Dinosaur National Monument.

There is no way to drive through this park without exiting and entering through the south entrance. There are two big drivable portions. You can only get through the park by boat!

So we went to the side of the park where the Dinosaur Quarry was.

Dinosaur Quarry. Also know as "The Wall of Bones"
There were hundreds of exposed dinosaur bones.

You could touch some of the bones!

Quote from Earl Douglass, the man who found the Dinosaur Quarry.
His wish came true.

Views around the park.

This was where the campgrounds were. We did not camp here, but it had some beautiful views!

There wasn't much to the town of Dinosaur, Colorado, but they have a cool name and sign.
