A couple of weeks ago, I heard that Chick-fil-A was going to be giving away a new sandwich for people to try. You had to go to their website and make a reservations, at an allotted time, to get the sandwich.

When I got there, they had half the restaurant sectioned off, special for the people who where getting the new sandwich. I didn't order at the front like you usually do, they got me to sit down so they could take my order. My understanding was you were just getting the sandwich for free, but once I sat down, my waiter informed me that I would be getting a whole meal for free.

I was pretty neat to have someone wait on you and take your order at Chick-fil-A. I ended up getting the sandwich with just pepper jack cheese and pickles, the waffle fries w/ 2 packets of polynesian sauce, and diet lemonade! The new sandwich was actually very good! It thought it was very spicy and if I were ever to get it again, I would probably get it without the pepper jack cheese.

New Spicy Chicken Sandwich from Chick-fil-a!! (1170 cal.) !!!!

This all I could eat (I usually get the kid meal!!)

From the Chick-fil-A website.
You can plug in your meal and it gives the information.

Here are a few other shots from my Chick-fit-A experience:

VIP Table

Table cloth and balloons!

After Dinner:

When I got done with Chick-fil-A, I headed to the hospital to visit with my Gramma. She had her first bout with dialysis today. She had a pretty miserable time when they put in the port for the treatment, but the treatment itself didn't seem to be too bad for her.

I spent a good hour on the phone, talking to relatives and giving them an update. After that I was tired, physically and emotionally.

I headed home and had a little nightcap:

Bota Box Merlot (60 cal.)

Water - 2 glasses
Gym - 30 min on elliptical
Running - none

  1. I'd say you can probably cut out 200 calories from your sandwich...you didn't really eat much.

It's crazy to see how good you think you can be but in the end, you're not being good at all (calorie and fat wise)

  2. I know... I felt a little sick after I plugged all that food in and saw the fat and calorie content in that meal. I figured it was going to be bad, but not that bad.
