This afternoon I watched The Grapes of Wrath. Starring Henry Fonda. This movie is about a family from Oklahoma City who is being forced off their land because they don't have the money to keep it anymore. This is due to the Great Depression and the Dust Bowl. They hear about work booming in the orchards of California, and set off to start over.
I thought this movie is great, but depressing. It brought to life how sad things were during the Great Depression. It made you think about how, even though things are not good right (with the economy and such) it not near as bad as it has been in the past.
