New Restaurant!

Tonight I had dinner with Can, Jen, and Parker at Hibachi Grill Sushi Buffet in Vicksburg. It was pretty good for a buffet. They had this neat little hibachi section where you put what you wanted from a buffet display (I went simple and got shrimp and rice) and they grilled it up for you. The sushi bar was a little sparse, I guess I am a little spoiled from eating the sushi buffet at Ichiban. It was still lots of fun, I just ate a little too much. :)

Movie Afternoon!

I had off for President's Day and decided to finally watch Ben-Hur. I've had it for a couple of day, but was having trouble finding the time to watch a 3 1/2 hr. movie.

Ben-Hur stars Charlton Heston. It's about a Jewish man whom becomes acquainted with an old childhood friend who is Roman. The Jew is betrayed by the old friend and is forced into slavery. Some years later, he regains his freedom by a series of good deeds and faith, only to seek revenge on his old acquaintance.

I thought this movie was a little to long, and was a little weird how the Ben-Hur story line intertwined with the story of Jesus. Still not a bad movie, and now I have another movie marked off my list!!!!

CitySolve Houston!

Today John, Lacey, and I competed in the Houston CitySolve Urban Race. It was sort of a picture scavenger hunt all over downtown Houston. It started with a question that every team could see, the answer to the question is the place where you got the questions packet for the rest of the race. They gave you a list of 10 questions (and two bonuses). You were required to complete 9 of the 10. When you had your nine you had to head back to the start. The picture checker asked which one was your skip, and then you got credit for the correct questions answers.

5th Picture.
We had to find the house on the University of St. Thomas where Howard Hughes grew up.

New Restaurant!

Tonight I got to try a new sushi place in Houston. And I have to say it was the best sushi I've ever had! They had over 100 different rolls to choose from, and everything was very fresh. Even the sauces tasted fresh made! This is a restaurant I hope to visit again soon!

I have a functioning time machine (I know it sounds unbelievable, but I assure you it works) that I need a 2nd person to operate with me.
I'm looking for someone who is adventurous and reliable. Preferable a male; or a female that can do heavy lifting.
I am leaving on February 21st, 2011, in the morning and plan to return February 22nd, 2011. I am going to November 1933 to handle some business.
If you are serious about time travel and are reliable, then please contact me. You do not have to pay anything, but you would have to provide someone to watch my cat for the time we are gone. The only qualifications needed are that you are reliable and that the circumferance of your head is no more than 64cm.
We will be leaving from Brandon, MS. Let me know if you want to go with me.

Movie Afternoon!

This afternoon I watched The Godfather Part 2, starring Al Pacino, Robert Duvall, Diane Keaton, and Robert De Niro. This movie is the continuing story about the Corleone family. In this movie it flipped back and forth, showing the life story of the original Godfather, Vito Corleone, from part one, and then the new story of Vito's son, Michael Corleone, taking over the family business.

I actually got this movie in the mail on Monday, but delayed watching it because it's 3 1/2 hours long! Yes 3 and a 1/2 hours. I actually enjoyed this movie better than the first, even though it was a long movie, it kept my attention better and was a little more interesting. I can definitely see why it made the list, it was a good movie.
