Movie Night!

Tonight I watched American Graffiti, starring Ron Howard, Richard Dreyfess, Mackenzie Phillips, and Harrison Ford had a small part too.  This movie is about two boys who are about to leave for college the next day. They spend the whole night before their departure, out and about cruising the main street where they live. The two boys, along with their friends embark on many adventures during this one night, having to decided when it's daylight if they will or wont go to college. This movie was like a musical without the singing. There are 41 songs from the 50's and 60's played through out the movie, so it was pretty much non-stop music playing! Overall, it was a fun, happy movie!

Movie Night!

Tonight I watched The African Queen, starring Humphrey Bogart and Katharine Hepburn. This movie takes place during WWI. It  is about a captain of a small ship who ends up taking on a missionary who had been left alone. The missionary then talks the captain into trying to attack a warship. I thought this movie was okay. It was a little slow at parts and then had an abrupt ending. But overall not a bad movie. If you like classic movies, I would recommend this one.

Hello?

Movie Night!

Tonight I watched In the Heat of the Night, starring Sidney Poitier and Rob Steiger. This movie is about an African American man who ends up helping a small racist Mississippi town solve a murder. I had heard of this movie, but had never seen it until tonight. I thought it was a very good movie, but a very sad depiction on Mississippi during the 1960's. Despite the bad, I did enjoy the movie and thought it had a good ending.
