Ring of Dingle, Dingle, Ireland

We had planned to drive around the Ring of Kerry. However, the host of the place we were staying talked us into the Ring of Dingle, because it was prettier and there would be less traffic. It was so much fun. We just drove around and stopped whenever we wanted to, to see the sites and take pictures.

Picnic on a cliff.
They had the best strawberries I've ever had!

We picked up this beer in the grocery store. We were driving along and came upon the actual brewery.

We just walked in an told them how much we enjoyed their beer. And the let us look around.

Traffic stop.

It was amazing to see all the shades of green!

The Rock of Cashel, Cashel, Ireland

Legend has it, if you can hug this stone and touch your fingertips together, you'll never have a toothache again!

Kilkenny, Ireland

John being a rock star driving a standard on the opposite side of the road!

First meal in Ireland. Traditional Irish Stew and Guinness!

Kilkenny Castle, Kilkenny Ireland

Ireland!

This was our welcome to Ireland. I thought it was pretty clever....

Formal Party at the Waldorf Astoria in Edinburgh

The day after graduation, John's company threw a formal dinner for all the graduates. John had a choice, rent a tuxedo or a kilt. He chose the kilt, because when will he ever have the change to wear a kilt again. It's the only time it will ever take him longer to get ready then me! (Some of these pictures I took, other are from the professional photographer at the party.)

View of Edinburgh Castle from the hotel.

Waldorf Astoria a.k.a The Caledonian

John and I all dressed up and ready for the party!

Dinner set

These were the curtains for the dinning room we were in.

John and I listening to the presentations.

This guy guided us into the dinner room.

He told us the story of Haggis. (Yes, that is a huge Haggis on a platter.)

They had a Scottish Dance Troop that performed for us. Then they made everyone dance!
