Saturday:
John and I were able to sleep in a little bit! Yea! It was so nice. Later in the morning, we got a call from our friends, telling us they had made it to the airport. We picked them up and I was able to have another talk with the baggage people at the airport. They told me my bag would make it back to Denver that afternoon!!! I was very excited.
Once we picked up Leslie and Michael from the airport, we were on our way to Steamboat Springs! It was a 3 hour drive from Denver. It really wasn't that bad of a drive... I got a small nap in!
We were so excited when we got there. The condo looked nice and had a good view!

Sunday!
Today was my first experience with skiing! It was exciting and hard and fun and tiring! I tried a few goes down an easy slope and then took a never ever class. I was so tired when I got done but it was a blast!
That night we ordered pizza and watched the Super Bowl.
Monday!
We decided to take a break from skiing. We went about 30 minutes out of town to go snow lubing! It was so much fun. They had three different hills you could go down: Larry, Curly, and Moe. Each hill was a little steeper or hillier then the next. I was afraid to try the hilly one at first, but after everyone had tired it, I decided I would too. Here are a few pictures:
Here is where they dragged you up the hill

Tuesday!
It was back to the slopes. I took another ski class and it was great! I learned so much and the instructor told me I was to a level 4 student!! I spent the rest of the afternoon going up the small lift and skiing down to get some good practice in!
Wednesday!
We decided to go downtown to eat and walk around all the stores. We went into a really cute little book store a candy shop, and several other cute stores.
View of downtown.
Later that night we went to the movies, the girls went to see Dear John and the guys went to see From Paris with Love.
The movie was pretty good. I finished the book a couple weeks ago, so I was pretty excited about the movie. They stuck pretty close to the book except for the ending. They totally changed the outcome. But over all it was really good.
Thursday!
Was our last day to ski and we wanted to make it worth our wild. We hit the slopes as soon as they opened and didn't leave until they closed the lifts. It was a blast! Several of us when to the fancy restaurant at the top of the mountain for lunch. It was so good. It was the best meal we had eaten all week. We spent most of the week eating chicken tenders and hamburgers. This restaurant called Hazie's. They had a soup and salad bar that we all ended up eating. They had seafood bisque, salad (with a delicious vinaigrette dressing), cheeses, olives, and pasta salad. It felt so good to have a good meal. We spent the rest of the afternoon skiing! Here are some pictures:

Me and John!
Friday!
On Friday we made our way back to Denver. It was the end of the ski trip and the entire group except me and John were heading back home. We got our friends Leslie and Michael to the airport on time so they could get back to OK City.
John and I decided to stay in Denver for the rest of the weekend, so we could spend some time together and have Valentine's Day together. So later that night, John took me to see Valentine's Day!
It was so cute. It was sort of an American version of Love Actually. With all the popular stars in it, all the little story lines going on, and how some of the people all interact together. I was so glad I got to see it.
Saturday!
John and I decided to hit some of the high points in Denver, since I had never been. One place I really wanted to go was the Molly Brown House (AKA The Unsinkable Molly Brown).
I'm not too sure how impressed John was, but I thought it was pretty neat. It was just an old house, but it was interesting hearing the tour guide tell about Molly Brown and how different her life really was compared to how the movies depicts her.
Next we went to the Denver Art Museum.
This was the biggest art museum I had every been to! It was really neat. We stayed there most of the day, taking a break for lunch at a cute salad and Panini place. On part of the museum was 5 stories and the other was 7. We made our way through most of it but towards the end we were ready to leave.
Later that night we when out to eat with a friend of John's, Ace. He and John meet when on a land rig in LA. Ace is from Tiland and he wanted to take us to authentic Thai restaurant called Thai Lotus. It was the best Thai food I have ever had. Ace ordered for us and they even gave us an authentic dessert at the end. It was a little weird but interesting. It was a cut up baked potatoes with a coconut cream sauce on the top.
After dinner, John and I headed to 16th Street! It was like a nice and clean version of Beale St. or Bourbon St. They had lots of stores and bars lining the street and they had a free bus you could get on and ride up and down the street. There was a book store I had wanted to walk through, but when we got there it was already closed. The other thing I had wanted to do while I was there was do a flight of beer at one of the local micro breweries. We ended up at the Rock Bottom Restaurant and Brewery. I ended up getting 2 flights of beer! I got to try 6 different beers that are brewed right in the restaurant! There was only one of them that I didn't like, but all the others were really good!
Today was a really great day! We did everything we had been wanted to do in Denver on Saturday except for visiting Red Rock, which we decided we would get up and do early on Sunday morning.
Sunday!
I was pretty sad this day. It was our last day of vacation and my last day to see John for a while. We slept in a little and then made our way to Red Rock. I was pretty neat to see, but when we got there it looked like they were having a mass wedding for Valentine's Day! We left a little while after we got there; there were just too many people!
After we left Red Rock we went out to lunch and then headed to the airport to leave. It was a great vacation and it was so great to get to spend so much time with my John!
The tubing looks awesome!! Makes me want to go back...
