Hot Springs, AR

This weekend me and some girls from work, Morgan, Kaylon, and Erin, went on a girls trip to Hot Springs, AR. Morgan and I had been before. She really wanted to go again and her husband was not interested, so it turned into a girls trip.

Stopped at the Welcome Center in Lake Providence, LA

Our hotel, The Arlington.

 A little about The Arlington

Real keys!

Lobby... the same band plays every weekend.

The hallways reminded me a little of the hotel from The Shinning!

Dinner at Fat Jack's, a local eatery

Buckstaff Bathhouse. We went for the full treatment: tub bath, hot pack, Stiz bath, vapor cabinet, needle shower, and a massage. It was lots of fun!

A little about Bathhouse Row (maybe hard to read)

Breakfast at Colonial Pancake & Waffle House

Yummy!

Saturday afternoon we went to The Winery for a tasting and then went to the horse track at Oaklawn!

I have been to see horse races before, but never when it was muddy and raining.

So muddy!

Photo finish!

Before each race you got to see which horses were running. It was also a way to defrost from the cold outside.

We had dinner at McClard's Bar-b-q. It was a top restaurant to go to in Hot Springs.
Turns out is listed a one of the top 1000 places to visit before you die

Massive sandwich I got...

Sunday morning I woke up and couldn't go back to sleep, so I went for a walk.
This is a natural hot springs.

I walked from our hotel up a hill that overlooked Bathhouse Row.

Our last meal in Hot Springs!

This place was so delicious and I didn't get a picture because it was kind of embarissing the amount of food was at our table. There were so many little plates with food on it there was not room!

The Pancake Shop

On the way back to Mississippi. We went through Greenville to see the new Mississippi River Bridge.
