After spending a night with friends and then in a hotel, we decided we would do a night of camping. We tried to camp at Arches National Park but they were full. We knew we were close to a Utah State Park, called Dead Horse Point State Park, so we headed that way to see if they had any spots available.
This is were we ended up camping. It was a few miles away from the Dead Horse Point State Park and they had plenty of spots available.
The sun was just setting as we were setting up our campsite.
John wanted to ease me into camping. We did not have showers or running water at this campsite, but we did have an air mattress to sleep on. (Because sleeping bag camping it hard.) Before we left the house I had charged the air pump, however when it came time to use it, it wouldn't turn on. Luckily our fancy rental car had an air compressor. It took a long time, but we finally got it blown up!
It was a beautiful sunset. And the stars that night were beautiful. There was no light pollution so you could see all the stars!
