On the way to Glacier National Park we passed this beautiful area around Flathead Lake in Montana. It seemed that every other house has a cherry orchard, so we decided to stop. Most of them were u-pick and then pay by the pound. These were some of the best cherries we had every had! We ate our weight in cherries. We probably only picked for a total of 15 minutes and ended up with 3 pounds!
These cherries were so big!
Made it to Glacier National Park!
Our first view when we entered the park!
The water was so clear! And cold.
John skipping stones.
This was our view for lunch! PB&J!
Going-to-the-Sun Road is the main road that goes from East Glacier to West Glacier. It gives you a great view of almost the whole park. It was busy!
Logan Pass was the most popular Visitor Centers. There are several trails and tours that begin and end here. It took us a little bit of driving around the parking lot but we finally got a spot here.
- The Highline Trail is one of the most popular trails. We walked a good portion of it but between not being in the best of shape and the altitude, we didn't finish the whole trail. Going down hill on the trails is great, until you have to climb back up.
Baby Mountain Goat
Mom decided to joint baby.
The wildflowers were gorgeous!
This little goat was digging itself a hole to get to some cool dirt.
The sun was fierce on this hike.
This flower looked like something out of a Dr. Seuss book!
Looks pretty similar.
This was St Mary's Lake.
We took a hike down to the water! There were people swimming, I would barely keep my feet in the water, it was so cold!
Despite the cold temperature of the water, these stones on the shore were blistering hot!
